Greetings, magnificent K/1 parents! What a fun week we have been having in the Hive! I want to begin this blog with a big reminder about something that is fast approaching-our deadline for turning in personal hygiene items to put into our Operation Christmas shoe boxes. Our class is collecting personal hygiene items. Toothbrushes, wash cloths, bar soap, and combs are great ideas. Thank you so much!!!

The students are practicing hard in music class for our Thanksgiving Harvest dinner coming up on Sunday, Nov. 22nd at 11:00 am at Faith Baptist. I am really hoping to see every family there!



We were blessed with some dry weather during PE class this week! Fall is such a beautiful time of the year!



We have been learning about owls and other nocturnal animals. What a hoot it's been!

Coming up this week in our Journeys reading program is an anchor text about Dr. Seuss! I'm so excited!

We will be focusing on Veterans Day, patriotism, and continuing our Novel Study of "Thanksgiving on Thursday". We will be doing some special lessons on 2-D and 3-D shapes and objects. We will also be doing a special Bucket-Fillers craft. Everyday we have been focusing on a different way to be a Bucket Filler!
