Summer camp registration!
We are offering early registration discounts, once again, for school registration and for summer educational camp registration. If you register for the 2016/2017 school year by April 1st you will pay $200.00. After April 1st the registration fee goes up to $250.00. If you register your child for our summer educational camp, “The Secret Garden,” by April 1st you will pay $25.00. If you register for camp after April 1st the fee goes up to $50.00. The cost of this year’s two week summer educational camp is $200.00 (not including the registration fee).
A word from Mrs. Warner about registering for next school year:
Now is the time of year when we begin receiving registrations for next year’s elementary school classes and this summer’s educational camps. This year, we filled our kindergarten class and we are expecting to do the same next year. There is also limited room in our first and second grade class. If you are thinking about sending your child to our kindergarten through fourth grade classes, be sure to register early in order to save your child’s place in our classes. We have a limit of 15 students in our kindergarten classes and a limit of 18 students in our first through fourth grade classes.
Special Requests:
We are planning something very special for our Sonshine kids on Thursday, March 24th. We will be having an Agape Meal which will begin with an Easter lesson (focusing on the Lord's Last Supper) from our Bible curriculum, foot-washing, and an Agape Meal. Please have your child bring a small hand-towel on this day. In addition, we could really use some donations for our meal including grapes, hummus, olives, pita bread (rolls or crackers would also be good) and grape juice. We appreciate anything you could donate to this.
I will be taking donations for our Spring auction. I have a great idea for us, which is this "Gift Card Frame" which can be used for family photos after the gift cards are taken off. I need donations of a wooden frame like the one pictured, and gift card donations. Having a variety of gift cards would be great! Please let me know if you are interested in donating!
Next week we will be wrapping up some assignments, doing assessments, preparing for student-led conferences, practicing our chapel presentation, and focusing on Easter. We will read "Chicken Little", and some poetry as well. In math we will focus on place value. The math minute this week is identifying coins and counting them as that is coming up soon in our program. Continue to work with time-telling and clocks at home!
Highlights from our week...
